As the ESL Pro League Season 4 Finals Group Stage nears completion, Immortals is the final team to be eliminated from Group A while NRG eSports is the first team in Group B to not advance to the playoffs.
IMT was eliminated after a crushing loss to Team Liquid in their final match on Mirage, in which Liquid came back from a 13-2 deficit at the half to win 16-14. Despite winning, Liquid were unable to advance out of Group A as a result of their abysmal Thursday, where the team went 0-3 in the group.
Despite having one more game to play against SK Gaming, NRG have been mathematically eliminated from contention due to their 0-4 record in Group B. As the fifth-place team, Team Dignitas, holds a 2-2 record, NRG cannot advance further.
Matches in Group B continue tonight, after which we will know the three teams that will join Team EnVyUs, OpTic Gaming and mousesports in the playoffs on Oct. 29.
